Hey, sorry for those who kept checking my blog for the past 7 days to find nothing new…The reason? Had a rather mad week in London, ended up missing my flight,(well we new It was time to go to the airport but we chose not too and kept partying lol) Loved experiencing life in Lodon when ended up staying in Soho for a few days with my mate :D where we found the coolest Graphic design shop ever that had everything you would ever need, was gutted had no money to buy anything as all money was invested in partying like mad lol .
This is a graphic Design blog though so gonna share something with you here more related to the subject, but keep checking as I am gonna make a cool video from our ‘Party’ trip too London, it might not be related to Graphic design that much but our life experiences influence our artwork, and this trip was a one Big experience!
Thought I will share with you this…. While reading a magazine one morning with a cup of tea I accidently spilled it and decided to move on to my laptop to check some blogs, then I came across this really cool graphi design invitations for Helsinki Day party at Helsinki CityHall by a graphic designer Tuukka Koivisto check out his work here if you like this http://www.tuukkakoivisto.com
Hey people ;) all uni work is handed in so finally I have some time to share my latest inspirations with you all, and these are absolutely beautiful origami, typography based graphic design posters by http://www.happycentro.it, I would definitely love to have one of these on my wall, nice use of texture together with bright colours and the origami fold in the middle creates a really strong contrast and depth. All of them different In colours and textures therefore I believe everyone could pick their favourite one, mine would be the fist one (blue one) and the white 1, which one is your favourite common don’t hesitate and tell me now ?:) and keep checking there is gonna be a few more blog posts today as I am really enjoying my lazy day off at home
AUTHOR DESCRIBES WORK AS:
” This is a self promotional project. We really like the crafting feeling, the paper surfaces
and the mix of the process ink. We love the culture of origami and with this project
we personally tried to reinterpret the forms that arise from the paper.
These are abstract forms and in the background you can see their structure.
The light coming through the window and so it is a natural light, a daylight.”
Hey, check this calendar that I saw this morning while having a cup of tea and looking through some inspirational blogs. It looks unique, interesting, really different, and playful. I’ve never seen a calendar like this before, it might be not the most usable calendar, but as interior detail in you living room would be really good. The calendar is by Berlin based design studio, check more of their stuff here http://www.wirsindsmyk.de/
“I’ve been on a calendar but I have never been on time” (Marilyn Monroe).
Like the author described : This experimental calendar gives you the overview on every following month and not only the current one. It works with holes and concentric rings. The smaller the circles, the less of the year is left. The color scheme matches the seasons.
